Description

Large, elegant tulip makes a statement.
Named for a sumo wrestler and meaning "daybreak" in Japanese, Akebono is a fullbodied tulip that exudes airiness despite its size. Its primrose-yellow, double blooms sport delicate, red petal edges and apple-green streaks to create a stunning display of colour. It blends well with many different bulbs and perennials in garden beds or borders that receive at least some sun. The long-lasting blooms and sturdy stems add to its appeal as a cut flower.
